Located on over 6 acres (26,836 sqm) near the Palms Shopping Mall in Lekki, the Lagos Arena will accommodate 10,000 people. Designed by Turkish architecture firm Yazgan Design Architecture, known for their work on similar arenas in Dakar and Rwanda, the Lagos Arena is primarily designed as a concert hall but can also host congresses and various sporting activities, including basketball, futsal, tennis, volleyball, handball, and boxing, as well as other hospitality events like weddings, lounges, cocktails, and exhibitions in its halls of different sizes.

The Lagos Arena is not just a building; it’s a beacon of possibilities for our entertainment industry and is setting the stage for world-class entertainment. Drawing inspiration from iconic arenas around the world yet distinguishing itself, The Lagos Arena is designed to be a jewel in Nigeria’s crown. The aim is to bring Lagos up to par with its global peers, making it a go-to destination for premier international events. - Babajide Sanwo, Governor of Lagos State

Inspired by its waterfront location and nautical vessels, the design of the Lagos Arena features white rings embracing a cascading volume. This design provides wide terraces at different levels for social activities with a picturesque view of the water. The main hall's central scheme offers excellent sightlines for spectators. The total construction area of the Lagos Arena is 25,250 sqm.

A collaboration between the Lagos State government, Persianas Group, the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), Oak View Group, and Live Nation, the Lagos Arena aims to redefine entertainment and sports in Nigeria and Africa. Drawing inspiration from global entertainment venues like the O2 Arena, the Lagos Arena seeks to position Lagos and Nigeria as premier destinations for international entertainment events. Additionally, the Lagos Arena is expected to be a significant economic catalyst, creating over 1500 jobs and fostering the development of ancillary businesses in hospitality, transportation, food services, and more, thereby creating a vibrant business ecosystem around entertainment and sports.
