The Presidency has indicated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu may soon publicly reveal the identities of individuals and networks believed to be financing terrorism across Nigeria.

According to Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Policy Communication, the administration is moving into a new phase in the fight against insecurity—targeting the funding channels that sustain terrorist organisations.

Bwala explained that instead of focusing solely on military operations, the government is now tracing the financial flows behind banditry, kidnapping, illegal mining, cattle rustling, and other criminal activities that fuel terrorism. He noted that intelligence agencies have made significant progress in uncovering those who provide monetary support, logistics, and other resources to violent groups.

He assured Nigerians that once investigations are concluded, the government will not hesitate to expose individuals involved, regardless of their status or influence. He added that the Tinubu administration is determined to dismantle the economic structures enabling terrorists to operate across the country.

The Presidency believes this strategy shift will help weaken criminal networks and address the root causes of insecurity more effectively.
