Why a Growth Mindset Is Not Enough Vusi Themb

Fri, 16 Oct 2026 09:59:33 +0000

Everyone talks about having a "growth mindset," but here's what most people miss: your mindset is only as big as the environment that shapes it. In this video, I share what I learned meeting Michael Phelps and Tia-Clair Toomey, driving around Miami, and spending time with high-performing friends in LA — and why the real gap between us wasn't talent, work ethic, or intelligence, but the environment we each operate in. I break down the difference between fixed and growth mindsets, why scarcity mindsets cause us to tear each other down, and why forcing yourself into environments of abundance is the real unlock for growth. If you feel like you're capable of more than your current results show, this one's for you.

Why 10,000 Software Company dies for 1 to Succeed - The Economics of Owning a Software Company

Fri, 16 Oct 2026 08:49:45 +0000

A French giant just paid $22.6 BILLION in cash for a software company you've probably never heard of. Not for factories. Not for machines. For lines of code. So why is software the most profitable business on earth — and why do ten thousand software companies still die in silence every single year?

In this video we break down the complete economics of owning a software company in America: the dream, the real bill, the hidden costs, and the brutal truth nobody tells you before you quit your job.

You'll learn why software has 75–90% gross margins while a grocery store fights for 2 cents on the dollar. Why starting a software company is cheap but running one will eat you alive — $150K–$250K per engineer, 12–18 months with zero revenue, $20K/month cloud bills, and a "free" startup that quietly costs a quarter million dollars a year. We'll open the cash register on SaaS subscriptions, recurring revenue, expansion revenue and negative churn — and then show you the leak that kills it all: 5% monthly churn means losing nearly HALF your customers every year.

We also go deep on the two numbers that murder more software companies than bad code ever will — CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) and LTV:CAC — plus enterprise sales cycles, champions, pilots, and why your clean product turns into a monster. Then the real answer: distribution. Code is a commodity. Audience, brand and a sales machine are not. Finally, we break down exactly why Schneider Electric paid a 42% premium for PTC, what a switching-cost moat really is, the startup Valley of Death, the acqui-hire nobody tweets about, and why the founders who actually get rich are building boring software for dentists, plumbers, restaurants and factories.

By the end, you'll know whether YOUR software company would survive — or become one of the ten thousand.

💡 WHO THIS VIDEO IS FOR
Aspiring founders, indie hackers, SaaS builders, developers thinking about going solo, business students, and anyone curious about how software companies actually make money.

The One Question Solomon Asked Before Any Partnership

Thu, 15 Oct 2026 15:13:04 +0000

Before you go into any business partnership, King Solomon's words in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 hold one question worth asking out loud with your business partner. The question is drawn from the verse, "For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth" (King James Version), and this video shows where it comes from and what to do with it this week.

In this video:
· Ecclesiastes 4:10 in Hebrew: "if they fall" is plural; "chaver" (companion, from a root meaning to join) appears in eleven verses of the Hebrew Bible; and "ve'ein sheni" ("and there is no second") stands side by side in only two verses, both in Ecclesiastes 4
· The three ways a business partnership falls, whether it is split fifty-fifty or not: the body, death, and the door
· The fall list: three lines to write tonight, and how to bring the question to your business partner at lunch
· The Connelly brothers of Crown C Supply in St. Louis: their agreement kept the company in the family when one brother died
· Why the IRS counted the company's life insurance money in its value, and what a unanimous Supreme Court said in Connelly v. United States (2024)
· What to look for in your operating agreement or partnership agreement this week (questions for your lawyer, not answers)
· Proverbs 25:19 and the "time of trouble"
· Abram and Lot (Genesis 13): success split them, and Abram named a fair way to part while the quarrel was still small
· Ecclesiastes 4:11 and the cold night after the fall

This is a study of Scripture. Nothing here is legal, tax, insurance or investment advice; ask a business lawyer and a tax professional who know your state.

Prinx Emmanuel - Many (official video)

Wed, 12 Aug 2026 10:42:53 +0000

“MANY” is a powerful reminder that our confidence is never in numbers. When the enemy surrounds you, when opposition rises, and when it looks like you’re outnumbered, remember: “They that be with us are more than they that be with them.” — 2 Kings 6:16

There is an unseen army standing with us. There is a God who never leaves us. There is a protection greater than the opposition we can see.

You may look around and see MANY against you, but heaven is saying: MANY are with you.
