Popular social media influencer and self-proclaimed relationship therapist, Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, has been remanded in custody by the Federal High Court in Lagos pending the start of her trial on September 24, 2026.

Justice Yellim Bogoro gave the order on Wednesday after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned her on a six-count charge involving alleged fraud, forgery, possession of false documents, fraudulent conversion of funds, and retention of proceeds suspected to have been obtained through unlawful means.

According to the EFCC, Blessing CEO allegedly raised N13 million from members of the public after claiming she was battling a serious medical condition, including a left breast lump and invasive ductal carcinoma. The anti-graft agency further alleged that the claim was backed by a forged medical report purportedly issued by Xinus Medical Diagnostics.

The commission told the court that the defendant used the document to solicit financial support from unsuspecting donors. Prosecutors also alleged that she knowingly possessed and used the forged report, concealed the source of the funds received, converted the money for personal use, and retained the proceeds in her personal bank account despite being aware of their alleged unlawful origin.

During the proceedings, EFCC counsel H.U. Kofanaisa informed the court that the agency had filed a six-count charge and requested that the charges be read to the defendant. After the charges were read, Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to all counts.

Following her plea, the prosecution asked the court to remand her and set a date for trial. Her lawyer, Stanley Ofoegbu, sought either an oral bail application or a short adjournment to allow for the filing of a formal bail request.

However, Justice Bogoro declined the oral application, noting that no formal bail application had been filed before the court. He subsequently adjourned the matter to September 24, 2026, and ordered that the defendant be remanded at the Nigerian Correctional Centre in Kirikiri, Lagos.

The latest development comes just a day after Blessing CEO secured bail in another case. On June 9, 2026, Justice Deinde Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Lagos granted her bail in the sum of N10 million with two sureties in a separate N36 million fraud case also filed by the EFCC.

She was also arraigned the same day before Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja over allegations that she defrauded Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited of N69.15 million.

The cases add to the growing legal challenges currently facing the social media personality, who remains in custody pending the commencement of trial.
